About

Ocotal
Located next to Papagayo Peninsula in Guanacaste north pacific coast of Costa Rica, the small and cozy Ocotal Beach offers travelers one of the best places to snorkel in the area. The soft coral in the Ocotal area is home to a great variety of species including sea horses which are frequently spotted wondering through the corals.  Its beautiful beach is also one of the most secluded and quietest around being a must for relaxation, but nightlife is just around the corner after a five minute drive to Playas del Coco, which is a small fishing and tourist village where restaurant and bars cater to visitors.

Scuba diving is available in Ocotal; nearby Catalina Island is a highly recommended diving spot where among several marine species you will be able to observe huge schools of rays including the giant manta ray. Either if you are looking for accommodations, deep sea fishing expeditions, adventure or natural history tours, they are all available through Visit Costa Rica Hotels.
