Day 01 ARRIVAL TO SAN JOSE

Arrive at the Juan Santamaria International Airport. One of our representatives will meet you at the airport to welcome you and provide private van transportation to your hotel.  Check in at the Grano de Oro Hotel or similar for a one night stay.

Day 02  SARAPIQUI RAINFOREST

Morning pick up at your hotel for a bus drive through the Braulio Carrillo National Park en route to the Sarapiqui rainforest area located on the northern Caribbean slopes of Costa Rica. At late afternoon depart on a night tour to Tirimbina Rainforest Reserve along with a naturalist guide. Here you will have the opportunity to safely venture into the rainforest well kept forest trails after dark.  You will have the opportunity to observe a wide variety of animals and insects hiding in the darkness, being a nocturnal display hardly ever seen.  Overnight at the Sarapiqui Rainforest Lodge.

Day 03 THE CARIBBEAN COAST

Morning check out from your hotel and departure from Sarapiqui on private van transportation to Puerto Viejo, located on the South-Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica. Upon arrival check in for a two night stay at the Suerre Caribbean Hotel.

Day 04 CAHUITA & PUERTO VARGAS NATIONAL PARK

Meet your guide at the hotel for a drive to Cahuita and Puerto Vargas National Park. Upon arrival, explore the rainforest on a walk through the nature trails along the beach area. You will be able to search for a wide variety of animal species such as howler monkeys, sloths, coatis, iguanas and the Green Ibis.  There will be time to stop for a swim in the warm Caribbean waters and snorkel beneath the surf at Cahuita, where one of Costa Rica´s most valuable coral reefs lies.

Day 05 NATURA PARK & INDIGENOUS VILLAGE

Join your guide at morning to explore the tropical forest at the nearby Natura Park Reserve and search for exotic flora and fauna. The nature trails will lead you to a local indigenous village where you will be able to relate to them and learn about their traditions. Also, visit a Medicinal Plant Botanical Garden for an unforgettable learning experience on a wide variety of plants and how they can help us heal. Early afternoon private van transportation back to San Jose.

Day 06

At the appropriate time, private transportation to Juan Santamaria International Airport for your return flight home.
